Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026
26 Dec 2025
December 25, 2025, Christmas Day.
Time is too fleeting, memories too heavy.
I've picked up my pen many times, but finally, I put it down.
Unconsciously, another year has come to an end.
In 2025, what will be even more devastating for the drilling tool industry is the storm of rising drill bit costs. At the heart of this storm is the unprecedented price surge of tungsten, a material often referred to as the "teeth of industry."
This year's uniquely Chinese wave of soaring tungsten prices has seen cemented carbide and others dance with it.
Some have remained calm and composed, while others have been scrambling and stumbling.
This year, we witnessed drill bit prices rise three times in a single month. Factory workers weren't focused on fulfilling orders and rushing production; instead, they were constantly calculating costs and making issuing price increase notices their daily mission.
According to the latest data from the authoritative industry platform, China Tungsten Online, as of December 24th, the intensity of this storm is alarming:
Black/white tungsten concentrate: Prices have surpassed 460,000 yuan/standard ton, a surge of over 220% since the beginning of the year.
Tungsten carbide powder: As a core raw material for cemented carbide, prices have reached 1040 yuan/kg, a 234.4% increase year-to-date.
Tungsten powder: Prices are reported at 1080 yuan/kg, a 241.8% increase.
This means that the cost of the "industrial food" upon which we rely to manufacture every drill bit is more than three times that at the beginning of the year. This price surge has undoubtedly been transmitted to downstream industries.
Since November, the cemented carbide and drill bit industry has witnessed its third round of concentrated price increases this year. Experts say that against the backdrop of continued tight supply and surging emerging demand, tungsten prices are expected to remain high in 2026.

2026 is fast approaching, friends. We stand at an unprecedented crossroads: on one side, the "Flaming Mountain" of soaring raw material costs; on the other, an "Ice Age" of market demand and cash flow, compounded by increasingly scarce resources.
This resilience is like the evergreen pine tree at Christmas, steadfastly upholding the essence of life in the harsh winter. It is this resilience that drives us to find new paths in adversity and to forge new directions in rock formations.
And today, a new hope that can significantly improve efficiency and reshape value shines brightly like the Christmas morning star—that is, PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Composite) superior drilling technology.
For non-coal open-pit mines, engineering construction, and certain suitable hard rock formations, PDC drill bits are no longer merely an "alternative option," but a "door of hope" leading to a high-efficiency, low-cost future.
PDC Drilling Tools: A Gift of Efficiency for the Future.
For high-pressure down-the-hole drill bits and some large-diameter top-hammer thread drill bits, no re-grinding is required. Current overseas field tests show a verifiable drilling depth of 5-10 times.

For hard granite , DTH bit , DHD360-165mm , can reach 1110 meters without regrind Carbide DTH bit 200 meters as usual . tested in Guinea Ma port

We believe that PDC Drilling Tools from China will continue to shine on the world mining stage in 2026. Of course, we understand that technological advancements are never instantaneous. For a considerable period, traditional carbide drill bits will remain a reliable pillar in many complex and extreme working conditions.
Our commitment to quality will not waver, and our promise of service will not be compromised. The hope brought by PDC technology lies in the strategic enhancement of our existing product portfolio, not in its replacement.
Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive drilling tool solution that covers a wider range, is more efficient, and offers a better total cost.
As we close out the year, the team would like to express our appreciation to our customers, partners, and colleagues worldwide for your continued support and confidence in us.
We wish you a warm and joyful Christmas and every success in the year ahead. We look forward to embracing new opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and delivering consistent performance in 2026.
